One thing I’ve quickly learned in my 18 years of living is that no matter what you do, say, dress like, act like, or what size you are someone is always going to have a problem. For me Instagram has always been a safer place for me to speak my mind and thoughts and I do it in hopes someone who sees it can relate and know they aren’t alone. Also that it helps them. For me social media has had a huge impact on my life in such a positive way, I’ve met people who I have so much more in common with then I would meet at school or work. I’ve seen people journey in finding themselves and who they want to be. It’s made me want to help people who are going through some stuff like me. In each of these pictures someone had something to say about the things I’m doing or have on. In the first photo I’m wearing a hat and the Mickey hands are the color of the rainbow which symbolizes lgbtq 🏳️🌈 I’m not one for labels but when people ask me why I wear this hat a simply say because I am a proud member of the community. I’m pansexual and if anyone doesn’t know what that means it means someone who falls in love with a person’s mind and soul rather then what they have such as a penis or vagina. I support the rights of the people who only want love and to be able to love who they want in public rather then having to hide behind closed doors.
In the other four photos, I chose because I get a lot of people telling me my lashes are to big. I’m wearing to much eyeshadow. You’d look prettier without all that makeup. Girls who don’t love themselves wear that much make up. In simple terms I’d love to say 🖕🏽off but I say thank you for your opinion but I kindly didn’t ask for it. Just because a person wears makeup doesn’t mean they don’t love themselves. They could love the art of it. The way it makes them feel, gaining more confidence. Makeup is something that’s evolved over the years and if one simply wore it just because they didn’t love themselves, well I don’t think it would have became this popular.
Again no matter what it is someone will always have something to say so instead of sticking around to listen to the negatives, keep walking forward and let your positive vibes shine.
