𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞: A couple of years ago I met with 35 year old prospective client, and I took him through a very low impact cardio warm up. The warm up consisted of 5 movements, jogging in place, butt kicks, side to side shuffle, front to back shuffle, & jumping jacks. 30 seconds each. —————————————————
I had him do 1:30 of low impact cardio and it took him about 30 mins to recover. 😳😳😳
He worked all day (12+ hrs) in an office, where he sat at a desk in front of a computer. Then he drove home (1 hr) and sat down in front of his TV or PC (3 or 4 hrs) and played video games or watched TV. ——————————————---
𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞?
He didn’t realize how deconditioned he was because he was in a perpetual comfort zone.
Immediately after the cardio his face turned pale and his blood sugar dropped. —————————————————
Having seen this many time before I knew how to save him. I had him take a seat, and gave him a bottle of juice and a cliff bar. —————————————————
We finally brought him back to Earth, but I thought for certain that I would be never see him again. I was wrong! He and his wife signed up and they both went on to lose about 50 lbs each (for their wedding)! —————————————————
When they signed up, they said that the assessment, although scary, made them realize just how out of shape they were. The assessment close them. —————————————————
