| S H I T B OS S | I've had a team for a bit over a year now and it's been HARD! Not because of my team, but because I'm a shit leader. I don't like telling people what to do, I hate giving negative feedback and the amount of things I try to juggle at once makes me seem like a hurricane when I'm in the office. Actually, funny side note - my poor leadership skills were only realised a few years ago when I lead a team in a corporate environment for like 3 weeks and then spent 6 months with a shrink due to the anxiety it caused me! HA! I know, ridiculous right?! Anyway! I don't like leading and I've struggled with it, probably my biggest challenge so far. Until about a month ago, when I was chatting to my team and I realised that there's lots of different kinds of leaders and maybe I'm focusing on the kind that doesn't suit me. So I decided then that I'm going to lead with kindness which I am good at. So I'm going forward with kindness being my approach - it seems to have been working for me before I even knew it.
