I had a really beautiful conversation with a new friend the other night (@thegratefulchef I’m looking at you) and we discussed the revelations and joy of traveling alone. How freeing it is, to make your own plans, change them, eat where you want, strike up conversations with strangers, and explore all by yourself.
For most of my life, I wanted to travel SO badly, but I couldn’t imagine traveling alone. As my soul began to wake up and as my awareness increased, I realized how extremely capable I was to travel alone, and that the only thing holding me back was fear. I found so much growth on that other side of that fear, traveling across the world by myself for a yoga training, and then spending a week by myself in Sedona a few months later.
What are your thoughts? Are you a solo-traveler? Dame traveler? Empowered explorer? Or do you prefer a partner in crime?
